Health and Wellness- After the shock of COVID-19 accompanied with the internal hardships we feel each day, Loving Kindness Week has been created to help our communities by spreading health awareness and positive outreach. For Loving Kindness week this year we are happy to announce our Self-care challenge, Dare to self-care.  June 1st to June 7th

The self -care challenge is inviting you to do something special for yourself and share it with the community by posting a one-minute video. In this video please state the area in your life you are giving care to. This can be mental, physical, spiritual and or emotional and express! Whether you want to read a short poem, dance or sing your heart out! We want to see how you dare to give self care. For more information and to register please visit https://www.lovingkindnessweek.com/

Outdoor Education- The African Solar Village Green Project (The A.S.V.G.P) was inspired by Dr. Willie Mackey. Though he is not with us, his work and passion live on in our work today. Dr. Mackey Solarized a village in Africa and brought that knowledge to the inner-city youth with the ASVOP (African Solar Village Outreach project). Dr. Mackey shared his knowledge in solar energy, math, and traditional African culture to Cleveland Ohio’s inner city. This year the A.S.V.G.P will be working to continue his work and we need your help!   We are looking for volunteers to help us with this project; education and training will be provided. If you or someone you know are interested in volunteering, please contact AfricaHouse International for more info on how to contribute.  www.africahouseinternational.org
